1950s original Ben Cooper "U.S. Astronaut" costume in amazing condition for its age. Still with the original box! Includes the plastic mask and "flame retardant" fabric astronaut suit with "Magic-Glo" glitter. Mask still has the rubber band and very little cracks or damage. Costume looks like it was only lightly used, there are a couple small stains on the front near the waist and left leg, which can be seen in the photos. Not certain if the NASA mask was originally released in this costume box, as the mask depth is such that it barely fits inside the box with the costume. The box is also in remarkably good condition, corners are tight, graphics are bright, and most of the cellophane window is still there, with some starting to break off from the cardboard at the lower right. A very rare Ben Cooper Magic-Glo set.
