Junk Worth Saving!

Description

Gorgeous set of fine leather bound books from 1809, offering a set of 6 out of 8 volumes of The Spectator with Sketches of the Lives of the Authors and Explanatory Notes published by Ruthven in Edinburgh Scotland. This is the printed edition of The Spectator magazine, which was very popular in 1700s London. Missing volumes are number 3 and 6. The condition is as nice as the photos depict, and what a lovely old book smell! No water damage, good binding no loose or missing pages, marbled covers quite nice, no writing inside except a dealer marking, typical foxing, corners are bumped and edges/spines have some wear. Books weren't handled very much over the years, some possibly were never read, VG+ or F- however we are not experts on book grading so please ask questions if you need. Being sold for clearance sale price, sold as-is no returns.
